restaurants for romance

Hello everybody!

I am in a bit of a pickle so to say.. Coming up very soon is my gf and my first year anniversary, and I don't really know where to take her!

Any type of cuisine tips are welcome, as long as the restaurant is fairly romantic or cozy or in some other way feels a bit special

I personally like the very quiet atmosphere at the Green Island restaurant in the inside of the Canton Orchid Garden. You can take some time to wander through the gardens to get there, then sit inside but beside the water fountain. The food is European-style western, the waiters do not speak very much (if any) English. And the waiters also have no concept of atmosphere. They will try to seat you right at the closest table to the door, you have to insist that you want to be inside where it is quiet and beside the water garden.

I would recommend Covent Garden in Panyu if you live in Clifford or near Panyu. Can't find anywhere more romantic than that, service is excellent, waiters are properly trained and they serve excellent 3-course meal with a good selection of wine as well. Have fun.
