Posted by helenann (1124 days ago) i have to say im there most sundays for lunch with the family, both times ive gone to get rye bread there which my kids love as we lived in dk for 4 years its sold out or they haven't made it, so hope to try it one day!!! It's authentic tasting, hearty German bread. The schnitzel and sausages are still good, and they have real kraut. They have a mango salad that is excellent and tastes like real western food. The mashed potatoes are real, and the potato salad is good too. On the other hand, the wait staff is extremely inattentive and they don't speak English. We ordered a milkshake and the waitress brought ice cream in a cup. We told her that we had ordered a milk shake and she argued that this WAS a milk shake, pointing to the milk shake on the menu. She never refilled our water, we had to search for her every time we needed anything, including the bill. We had ordered one bottle of beer with two glasses, but only one glass ever came in spite of two requests. One person had ordered an appetizer and another had ordered a salad which should have been served before the meal. The appetizer was dumped on the table just after the main courses had arrived. The (appetizer) salad never came. Posted by Kmom (476 days ago) completely agree with Meiguoren on the quality of food (still quite good), but one can really lose patience with the wait staff. I hope that the management realises this before its too late though |
