Gail's Place is also good for Mexican food. I really like the staff and Gail is such a sweet woman. They've opened a new place near Luoxi Bridge now too.

Ruth, where's Gail's near the Luoxi Bridge? Is it by where the bars are a Riverside Garden?

Yes, theres a Great recently opened mexican restaurant in tianhe and run by a mexican family. They are located a few steps from Grandview mall.
Near to Teemall is located Grandview mall, inside this one there's a Friendship store, at the exit of the friendship store, across the street there is a 7/eleven store. They are located just behind 7/eleven.
Metro Line 1 can take you there: TiYuXiLu stop and TiYuZhongXin stop

Does this new Mexican place in tianhe have a name?

You know, I went and didn't find the food very appealing, which is pity because I'd really like to find an authentic Mexican restaurant here (having grown up in Texas). The menu is very limited ... they didn't even have tacos yet. Ordered nachos with chips a little stale (not homemade) and some kind of cheese whiz, quesadilla (plain) and burrito (plain). Well, I hope they improve because I'd love some kind of taqueria dive I could go to when the mood hits.

Its La Mexicana
Posted by Meiguoren (104 days ago)
Is La Mexicana the restaurant run by a Mexican family in Tian He, or is that the name of the one on Huanshi Dong Lu? Since we're talking about 2 different restaurants, it would be helpful if people disclose which one they are talking about when they say what is good or not.
