Saw earlier threads on Becky&Ken's (a private place, I think). Does anyone know if they are still around? Also, has anyone heard of Uncle Allan's, which is also a private place? If so, it would be interesting to hear comments on both of these for address & phone, quality, price, etc. Thanks.

The best Italian food and USDA steaks in China, period!
It’s not a restaurant but an expat couple’s home on the 30th floor overlooking the Pearl at the Guangzhou road bridge. They have expat couples come and feast and I mean feast at their apartment two times a week. The dinners are limited to only 3 couple’s. The couple’s names are Becky and Ken Smith, she’s Chinese and he’s from the US. Kens brother fly’s for one of airlines and brings in Rib eye roasts from the US once a week, I think Sat. Go ready to eat, 5 to 7 courses authentic Italian cuisine. Kens mom is from Naples and he could be a chef in any upscale NY Italian restaurant. When you go into the apartment you smell the aroma of spices, heavenly. They charge $400 RMB per couple and you get to bring home the leftovers that we eat for 3 days.
