Looking for my grandfather's village

Hey there!
I'm a kiwi girl who's grandfather is Chinese and hails from Guangzhou, my grandfather passed away 60 years ago and I unfortunately never got to meet him..
All documentation of where he was from was lost and all that anyone knows is his village goes by the name of (what sounds like) Ngai Yu or Naiyu something like that..
I'm currently working in Hong Kong and would love to venture over to Guangzhou and visit his village! So if anyone out there could shed some light on what village I could be talking about it would be so so so very much appreciated!!

Yeah I know.. Hmmmm am trying to source something!! I've just been told there's a city within this village/province called Sun City?! Well that's the 'english' name anyways!
