Learning Mandarin

Hi everybody,

I'm a french guy who came to work in Guangzhou for some months, maybe years, and I would like to be able to walk freely around and be understood by Chinese.

So my question is, in you opinion, what is the best method to learn mandarin ? I live in Tianhe district and there is a university nearby, I didn't have the time to check there so here I ask, do they offer evening lessons because a friend told me Chinese university is only opened between 9h30-17h and since i work at the time, i won't be able to take lessons from there. Another idea is the exchange language, does this method work well since it's a bit random who you're going to learn Chinese from ? If you have others ideas, I'm listening.

hi,there are lots language learning schcool in Guangzhou,which have mandarin learning cause for foreigner who want to learn mandarin.They have evening cause as well.

For exchange language,i suggest you could do it after you have general/normal knowledge from the language schcool.
